Breakfast and maple go together pretty darn well if you ask us. So given the opportunity to give the age-old banana bread recipe a perfect makeover, we were all over it. Get the recipe below for this incredibly tasty, purely nutritious Maple Almond Perfect Bar Banana Bread — and, enjoy!

Maple Almond Perfect Bar Banana Bread

Recipe:

  • 2 Maple Almond Perfect Bars, diced
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • 2 bananas, mashed
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine mashed banana, eggs, vanilla, and maple syrup.
  4. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients in about 3 increments, mixing after each addition.
  5. Fold in diced Perfect Bars.
  6. Grease 2 small or 1 large loaf pan.
  7. Bake for about 40 minutes (large loaf) or 20 minutes (small loaves) or until knife or toothpick comes clean.
  8. Let cool, slice, and enjoy!
