Discover What Makes Perfect Bar Different

People ask us all the time, “Perfect Bar, what makes you different?” Other than our nutty personality and delicious taste, we believe we have some nutritious qualities that make us different than the rest.

For starters, we aren’t found in the protein bar aisle. You can find us chilling in the refrigerated section next to fresh-cut produce and kombuchas. We are always soy and whey-free and know that the best things in life are made with love.

But for those of you looking for some hard stats about what makes us different, we pulled together what we think makes us a little more perfect than the rest:

Refrigeration

We already said this one, but it’s worth repeating because it’s a biggie! We are the original refrigerated protein bar and since we don’t use chemical preservatives, overly-processed ingredients or emulsifiers, refrigeration is required to maintain the optimal freshness, consistency and flavor of our bars.

The refrigeration acts as the second-level of security to keep that delicious cookie-dough texture you know and love. After a week outside of the fridge, the texture and flavor begin to change, as the whole food ingredients begin to separate from the oils (like a jar of peanut butter).

Low GI

“Well, what does Low GI mean then?” Glycemic Index (GI) is a relative ranking of carbohydrates in food by the ability to raise blood glucose levels. More simply put: The GI is a value that measures how carb-containing foods influence blood sugar levels. The higher the GI rank, the higher blood glucose levels will rise.

“And why does it matter?” Low GI foods may have a positive impact on eating choices by increasing satiety or feelings of fullness, and weight loss or control, as well as improve insulin resistance and glucose levels for people with type 2 diabetics.

Gluten Free

We are committed to being gluten-free because we want our bars to be enjoyed by as many people as possible.

Non GMO Protein Bar LabelProject Verified Non-GMO

We only use clean ingredients, which means Non-GMO seeds to start.

Honey

Of the many roles honey plays in the recipe of today’s Perfect Bar, the original reason they turned to honey was for its sweetness. We use honey not only to sweeten the bars but also to preserve and bind all the ingredients as well as using refrigeration to supplement honey and keep the bars fresh.

This ancient preservation duo work in perfect union to keep the bars delicious, nutritional and fresh for up to 6 months in the fridge. When on the go, the bars, thanks to the sticky sweetness of honey, will stay good for up to a week out of the fridge.

20 Superfoods

Twenty organic superfoods, like fruits, vegetables, seeds and oils, are found in every bar and help provide a convenient source of vitamins and minerals.

  2. Hello I have been getting your perfect bars for over a year. They have been a great start to my morning as a teacher. Recently I moved and found these in the local store and was really excited about it. I was eating the coconut peanut butter one and unfortunately did not have a good experience. It was very veggie forward. I have had this flavor before and had not noticed this. Have you changed your recipe? Just curious. I had the chocolate chip peanut butter one and it was as remembered. A little concerned now about plain old peanut butter. Thanks.

    1. Hey Jenny! Thanks for reaching out to us with this, we’re sorry to hear you didn’t have a great experience – please note our recipe has not changed. If you could, please reach out to our team via perfectbar.com/contact and they can further assist you with this issue. Cheers to good health!

  3. Will be purchasing a bigger box as soon as possible! Randomly found these at Wal Mart and have been in love since! Also because I am trying to get back into working out and gaining muscle they have helped tremendously! Can’t wait to try other flavors!

    1. Hey Tim! Feel free to check out the ingredients for each of our flavor on the products page of perfectsnacks.com!

  4. just read perfect bar ingredients for almond butter bar and have two questions about it. You dont state the almond butter is organic or NON gmo?? Also the “organic papaya” you state may be organic but for sure is GMO. no such thing anymore as non gmo papaya.

    1. Thanks for asking, Tim! Our almond products are processed in accordance with the standards of the ABC and USDA. That being said, at this time, the almonds we use are not organic. Additionally, as listed on our nutrition label, the papaya in our superfood blend is organic and meets non-GMO requirements.

  5. I love the bars….A LOT!

I am trying to get a very specific list (and the exact quantities) of the “20 superfoods” in a typical bar. The specific information on the 20 superfoods is very hard to find. Maybe this can also be included on the website. Thanks!

  6. It would be AMAZING if you made more dairy free options! I absolutely love the peanut butter chocolate chip, but realized they contain dairy and I am allergic:(

Overall, your bars are wonderful and will keep buying more if more dairy free options are available!

  7. hi, I bought these bars and did not realize they needed to be refrigerated. They sat on my counter for 4 days. I have since put them into refrigerator, are they okay for me to eat?

    1. Hey Suzanne — Not to worry, our bars are okay out of the fridge for up to one week. Just toss them in the fridge to cool down, they are still perfectly fresh!

    1. Hi Dara – We use organic wildflower honey that has been pasteurized and filtered through a 150 micron or finer filter. Our organic, non-fat dry milk and organic whole egg powder are pasteurized as well. These proteins are heat treated under pressure, then moisture is removed via dryers to produce a stable powder. Pasteurization kills pathogens and drying lowers the water activity to prevent bacterial growth. Hope that helps!
